Business As Usual

This one has been forced upon me by this little girl who takes breaks from life by participating in Sexual Fantasy quizzes online. It is a good feeling to get reminded of your duties to keep publishing by people who actually read Stray Thoughts. Cheers to you, girl! I’m hoping this one gets me out of this hole I’ve trapped myself in.

The abovementioned “hole” comes as a direct result of my foolishness in covering an entire year in “About Time” and then following it up with a product review. Anything that I come up with now, can only cover my drab existence in that little town that I’d been stuck in for two months in the summer. If anyone would know that place, they’d know what I’m talking about. Air conditioning and blazing fast internet were the highlights of the two months there.

Returning to college has never been pleasant for me. Every time I’ve returned to college, it has been marked by some kind of drama. This year’s edition has been strange, to say the least. Everything seems the same but something has been amiss and I still can’t put my finger on it. Another interesting group of youngsters have come in. Time alone will tell more. Despite my best efforts, and with none but myself to blame, I’ve ended up feeding quite a few with the usual dose of cynicism. For one, the new bunch is more balanced in their gender ratio, and there must be very little for me to say about them if I’m bringing that up. I believe that I’ve managed to make a few friends, but that again, time alone will tell. Latest episodes of Madness have sparked some interest but that is worthy of another post.

Academically, I must say, things have been slightly better off. Other than the “very poor” I got in a bibliography from a fantastic lecturer who never shies away from a good bashing. The powers that be have changed this year and, arguably, for the worse. A slight altercation apart, things have been good. Maybe not. Think we can reconsider that first sentence in this paragraph. It has been business as usual.
